brandon had school pictures today---- again! they had one in the fall but that photographer didn't do a good job. that one in the fall was a student & did not have much experience.......it showed in the pics. this photographer today was a pro! he was MUCH better & interacted with the kids very well. he took the class picture 1st. and then he took kids who normally does not have school fridays to take their pics 1st. thank god! there were about 6 kids in the 1st group & that took a long time! but all the kids smiled! that's all that matters! brandon hanging out with the girls (of course!).

i LOVE my domo that eddie got me in "japan". brandon got his ultraman there and i got domo! i have a larger one too :-) just a forest scene card i made. that's a recycled peet's coffee cup sleeve on the bottom!

dontcha just love spring

after picking up brndon from school today, i decided to go with both boys to the farmer's market. we had beautiful weather (80+ degrees)!

boys doing their own thing. and bryan, loving the dirt! we didn't steal any lemons today....... too many peeps around. gotta go earlier in the day if we wanna steal lemons.

i just bought some gorgeous sunflowers at the market today......... makes me happy looking at them.

yummy kumquat tree. most are already pulled off & eaten!

love the smell of citrus tree flowers! see that big lemon on the bottom. saving it for cooking! we have a humming bird that zooms on by & scares the beejesus outta me. humming bird comes by to get some of the nectar from the flowers on the citrus trees. they aren't scared either cause they get their share when i am standing right there! their wings flap so fast & that's what scares me (the sound).

tomato tree. 1 outta the 2 i have growing. i don't even really like tomatoes but fun to grow! i bought brandon's class one since they were starting a garden & wanted something edible to grow. i looked at it today and it didn't look that good....... looks like theirs need water! mine didn't do too well last year for some reason. had lots of flowers but never produced tomatoes. any tips out there?

here are some cards from the past 2 days.

what to make today??? been going to bed early lately (my sis should be happy to hear that!). not early but going to bed right after putting the boys to bed. brandon slept from 7pm to 7:30ish am.....12+ hrs!!! missed dinner & all. i dunno why he was so tired. growing boy!

friday the 13th came a day earlier for us

late post but on thursday, march 12th, brandon had a minor accident. grandma came to visit that week and i left her with the boys or i should say i left the boys with my mom. anyways, not more than 2 hrs of being at work, i get a call on my cell from my mom with screaming crying in the background (brandon) and my mom telling me brandon fell off his scooter and his chin is bleeding. i rush home and see a big hole in his chin. luckily by the time i got there, most the bleeding had stopped. i wasn't sure if it required stitches so i sent a pic via cell phone to eddie who was at work. he couldn't see it that well but said as long as the bleeding stopped, it should be ok and that he'd look at it when he got home from work.
after getting the whole story, it appears that brandon was doing "tricks" on his scooter. he was riding it backwards, showing off and it tipped over and he fell on the tile face first. how he got that hole in his chin still is a mystery...maybe it just caught on the corner of the tile grout?? so friday the 13th came a day early for us.

what $10 bought

my "to do" list was added on as the day went due to my ill preparadness and foggy head..... here is the before list as i went out the house:

drop off brandon at school

go drop off a form the dds needs to sign for kindergarten enrollment

go to farmer's market

go home & make a card or 2

go back to pick up brandon



here's what really happened:

went to dds office; sat in car digging 'round my purse looking for the form

went all the way back home to get the form

headed to the farmer's market but wished i had my camera on this beautiful sunny day

finished 2 cards and then realized the time----- i was almost late picking up brandon!!

our yummy strawberries!

bryan's share....... i had only $10 in cash so here's the breakdown: $6 for strawberries, $1 for 2 pomelos, $3 for a bag of freshly made salted peanuts. money well spent to support local farmers!

also at the farmer's market was this strange looking fruit called atemoya. while watching bryan dig, i was sampling this & that. the sign said that is was a cross between a mango, and something else & something else [i forgot :-( ] it looked like an artichoke. it was weird in texture but tasted good. you can read more about it here: http://www.answers.com/topic/atemoya
