non-traditional colors

hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving! i enjoyed the week off and had some time to play with paper in between entertaining the boys.
i love to make holiday cards with non-traditional colors. glitter has been fun too BUT, very messy!!

starting to make teacher gifts and will show those later in the month. i also have a few other projects i'm trying to finish. i've been collecting vintage glass bulb ornaments and making a wreath out of them. anybody else working on fun stuff? i'd love to see!

halloween pics and holiday tags

ok, look at this little cutie! this is my niece, jadeyn. we went home to SF to go help celebrate her 1st birthday. she's adorable! more on her party at a later post.we drove home on halloween to get back in time to go trick-or-treating with our friends. brandon is ash from kemon and bryan is pikachu. i made brandon's costume this year ('patting' myself on the back).

we had thor, a witch and sully (from monsters) to treat with.

the kids got to pick 10 pieces of candy to keep. the rest were donated back to our school who collected to send to our troops.

side note....bryan one morning wanted to ride in the stroller which has been put away for over a year. he whined and pleaded so i said, "sure, you can ride in the strolled BUT it's going to cost you 10 pieces of candy". he thought about it and came back to me and stated counting out 10 pieces of candy. i was surprised!! (i told him it's a 1 trip deal)
i love fall when i can pull out all my favorite owl decorations.

sharing this simple holiday card. now that halloween is over, i need to get cracking on holiday cards.

i had these halloween/fall pics loaded on blogger but never finished the post. and i'd have half the photos uploaded here and the rest, would come up with an error message on blogger....anyone else? so frustrating.

we were in SF this past weekend celebrating my niece's 1st birthday. she is SUCH a doll!! took tons of pictures of that cutie and will share some party pics and the boys in their halloween costumes.there were some gorgeous pumpkins!

i like the ugly, bumpy ones and i came home with one.

is she not the cutest? she's such a doll!! we finally got to meet baby jadeyn for christmas! what a great present! she's 2 monhs old now. so adorable! i will have so much fun spoiling her with girly things! i got to get that out of my system....having 2 boys, their stuff can only be "so" cute!
side note, we gave my sis what she wanted from the boy's clothes when they were babies. this is one of the outfits! so sweet to see it again!

a new year card. it can be seen here also.

same stamp, different orrientation.another card using the same stamp. working with glitter embossing powder is definitely a hazard! not only is it messy but when you work it with the heat gun, stray ones blow up----sometimes into your eye. that's probably why i don't emboss cards much!TFL! i am under the weather again! i've been sick since end of october. then i was better for less that a week and now i'm sick again now. i had some stomach bug for a few days, body aches, the chills, joint pain, headache and a fever. but my boys took good care of me! i pretty much slept all day thursday.

greetings from san francisco! we were lucky that the rain stopped for us to make the drive. i think it rained for 6 days straight! finally go to meet my brand new baby niece, jadeyn!! she's such a cutie! so in love with her!! pictures of her to come. she will be blind by the time i'm done with her from all the pictures i'm taking of her. (paparazzi i am)

in my area, nordstrom hires a santa to take pics for FREE!!! and this is the same santa from last year. he's a great santa, knew the drill and did exactly what i wanted for the boys' photo op. he totally orchestrated the visit: 1st bryan sat on santa's lap, then he asked brandon to come sit too, then bryan off so brandon can take one alone w/ santa.

he even asked the boys what they wanted.
