next card class featuring lawn fawn
so, i have decided on these 3 cards for my next card class here on july 9th using lawn fawn sets. this first one uses a gluber to make this twisty flower here. set used: sophie's sentiments
i posted this one before but here it is again. added a little polymer flower made by me. sets used here are: on the mend, critters in the 'burbs (to make the clouds), say cheese

extreme weather & card class pics
one day, i decide to get us outdoors to enjoy the unusually warm weather. bryan took his razor and we decided to have lunch at chick-fil-a. it's a 15 minute walk there from our house. nice, huh? NOT when it's almost 90*! i underestimated the temperature! it got hotter & hotter! so what's a mom to do to cool off her little guy??
feed him ice cream before lunch!
few days later, i saw these clouds. pretty, no?
later that night, we got this. we couldn't believed it hailed. AND, we totally missed it! we were inside a target when this all went down! yes, we SoCal's are weird like that. instead of being inside when it hails, we want to be outside to get pelted by hail!
the boys were so amazed at all the ice on the ground!
some pictures from my 2nd card class. it was fun and i had 2 young recruits!
next time, i will leave my cling stamp dirty! the night before, i noticed the cling wasn't clinging so well so i went to go wash it. left it in by the sink to dry. of course i made that "mental" note to grab it in the morning and take it to class. mental note got lost! [surprise, surprise]. luckily, the store had a stamp i could use for the background for one of the cards we were doing. day was saved!
i love how the girls each put their own spin on the cards.
i love their fresh attitudes and young minds! gotta love it when they want to craft with their mamas!
had a lot of fun with these girls! hope they had fun in the class!
i forgot to take a picture but kelly came in with her husband mike after the class. what a treat for all of us! and they brought putter (their dog). i was thrilled to hear earlier in the week that she would be stopping by after my class!
next class is may 14th. got to start thinking of new card samples for the class! but my mind is on vacation mode!

card class #2
my 2nd class that i am teaching at stamp fever is coming up! april 9th ladies if you are interested! email me or call the store. this 1st card is using hero arts stamps. cotton candy---yum! loving this pickle green and pink combo!
card #2 is from the lawn fawn set, 'my silly valentine'. using the adorable bunny! can be for easter. made the bunny yellow---reminds me of the yellow bunny peeps i'm seeing in all the stores. love peeps...waiting to get my hands on some!
this last card is also from lawn fawn, the 'sew lovely' set. hard to tell but there is some background stamping. the poufy flower is made from some vintage pattern paper i picked up at a thrift store a while ago.
BTW, i have blog candy still up. leave a comment on this post to be entered. TFL!

successful 1st class
here are some pictures from my 1st class at stamp fever on march 12th. we had a great turnout---7 gals who were fantastic to "teach". i really didn't teach them anything they didn't already know! it was more like getting together with your friends and hanging out on a saturday getting crafty.
we used these lawn fawn sets: bannerific, critters in the 'burb, hello friend, sophie's sentiments, and petite florals to make 3 cards.

everybody busy at work.....
putting on the finishing touches
here is linda (standing) and nancy in the background. i thank both of them for giving the opportunity to teach at the store and for their support.
this little girl came into the store with her mom & little brother while we had the class. she walked over and asked if she could stamp something. i gave her some paper and she stamped some dogs. she was pretty good i might add at 6 years old! hope to see her at my next class!
a picture of everybody holding up their 3 finished cards! i hope to see all of them at my next class (april 9th)!! samples to come----i'm working on it!
my silly boys. took them to the wild animal park.
brandon & bryan as wild boars
bryan has a huge obsession with maps! he's really good at reading them too.
we had to make a lot of stops just so he can find out exactly where we were on the map before we could go on
thank you to everybody who emailed, texted or commented on bryan's recent night terrors. he had them for 4 nights in a row. we decided to take him off his OTC cold & cough syrup and he was fine after that. i don't know if that was a side effect during the time of his sickness but it seemed to do the trick. i'm SO glad he's back to 'normal'!
yes, i did organize all their books......i'm anal like that. it won't last long. but makes me feel better that i tried to organize them.
one more thing to share---- this little guy was on my neighbor's roof one day. we saw it fly right by us. strange....i'm sure he was lost!
everybody busy at work.....
