don't let their sweetness fool ya!

let's see.....what have these bad boys been up to lately? besides both getting over being sick, bryan's been beating up his older brother and doing wrestling moves on him. i recently found out brandon cut a snippet of his hair--- AGAIN. i thought his hair looked a little funny in the front but i just though it was his buzz cut that got cut a little too short. those boys drive me crazy i tell ya! [can you just see the white hairs sprouting from the top of my head?]

ok, so onto my 'therapy'. just a card & layout i did this week.

i kinda want to buy it. i am planting some tomato plants right now bought from good ol' target. i don't even really like tomatoes nor does eddie. just fun to grow things and share. brandon's pre-k class is growing some stuff & asked for a donations of plants & soil. i donated a tomato plant and a cage. let me clarify--- the cage is a tomato cage......not a cage for the kids although it sounds good on "those" kinda days. any tips out there for growing tomatoes?

a play date

since seeing one of brandon's classmates, nicholas, at dim sum one day, we've been planning a play date with the two boys since. so last friday, we met at pat & oscar's for lunch. we would've liked to have been outdoors to let the boys run off some energy but it had rained that morning! the boys were all SO LOUD & NOISY!!!! embarassing but what can you do----they are boys!

i made this for my best friend michele. it's actually her christmas gift that i just sent off along with her birthday present. [birthday present was on time.....just christmas gift, i got behind] i had 1/2 of it made but then got caught up with all the other christmas going-ons and then january came and it was planning for bryan's birthday party and things going on at work (the company i work for got bought out)....blah,blah, blah........i know---excuses. so sorry michele it's so late! hopefully she'll find a lot of uses outta these all occassion cards. it's so hard for me to cut up pretty patterned papers.........i really like the one on the altered lunch tin. i am learning not to hoard paper this year.

i own one :-) but i got it at the mall with a demo. but if that same guy in the ad was selling it to me at the mall, i wouldn't have parted with my $19.99 + tax. that guy in the as is a bit strange!!

making lemonade outta lemons

WHY such the sour face you ask? me & bryan drop off brandon at school on tuesdays & wednesdays and every time we leave, bryan cried his eyes out. he wants to stay and play. he'll cry the entire trip home asking for his brother and calling out his name. he'll even go as far as getting his arms out of his car seat straps to turn his body around to look behind him to point to his brother's school.

i had a couple of errands to do.......1st stop, post office to mail out some packages. he was still crying when we went inside. a nice woman held the door open for us and let us go before her. the mail lady at the counter was very nice.... bryan stopped crying (thank god!). the other counter lady said that bryan was so cute with his watery red eyes & pout (not so much to me). i guess they felt for me.

next stop was michael's to pick up some stuff (don't tell hubby i went). he totally was okay now. he helped carry the hand basket & showed me this & that. at the register, he handed each item to the cashier and then ran to behind her counter & wanted to help.

next stop, HOME! but i did see the beautiful mountains covered with snow after 3 days of rain. ok, it may not seem beautiful to some of you where it snows a lot during the winter but to me, i think it's pretty (from afar!).

i decided to go to the farmers market they have by our house every tuesday before heading home. got zucchini, and a yummy smelling pomelo. we also stopped by the nearby library gounds where they have lemon trees. bryan picked up 1 or 2 off the floor. we took them home---is that stealing??? they already fell off the tree.
