last days of kinder

just sharing some more [ok, a lot more] pics from brandon's last day of kindergarten. cannot believe he is starting 1st grade soon.here's what i put all the handmade cards in...a handy little tote that can be used for the beach. this was for his teacher.
a set of cards that were quick & easy to make
this was for the other teacher in brandon's class who teaches the afternoon kinder class
i gave her a set of cards like these below

bubbles!
brandon gave these little sand pails filled with a juice box, a pack of fruit snack and the bubbles to his clasmates on the last day of school. i thought it would be fun for the kids to have this to kick off their summer. i even made tags w/ each child's name to tie onto the pails. it read: kindergarten flew by so fast. have a great summer! see you in 1st grade!
i did have brandon write his name on each of the tags.....33 times!
another 2 parents asked of they could put their goodies for the kids in the pail so of course, the more the merrier!
brandon had so much fun this past school year

got their tatoos
on their last day of school, they had a luau celebration. here is brandon making his ice cream sundae. my station was dishing out the marshmallow topping.
always making faces
more friends
it was a day of playing games & eating
mrs. haderlein sure made a great impression on brandon. so important that he got a good taste of school at an early age!
aren't these beautiful? hubby hates these flowers. what's there to hate?this is in front of my babysitter's house. i just had to snap a pic of her & the boys in front of it. i am so thankful i have such a wonderful & great sitter who loves the boys like they were her own!
thanks for looking at ALLLLLLL these photos. long post but thanks for stopping by! TGIF!!

spring cleaning

hi all! thank you for all the comments in my previous entry! i will be picking my blog candy winner midnight wednesday/early thursday am.

been 'spring' cleaning a bit today. found some more crafty things that hasn't seen the light of day. perhaps i will have another blog candy giveaway end of the month to celebrate my birthday. i found 2 brand new issues of cards magazines that are both dups that i already have. don't ask me how that happened! i will give those out as well. stay tuned!
speaking of cards magazine.....my tweet heart card was one of a bunch of fantabulous cards that was selected for their blog challenge gallery. see it here.

had some time this morning to make [another] baby card. something has GOT to be in the water......this was fast & easy: punch, stamp, cut, tie and sticker. supplies: dritz, hero arts, colorbok, martha stewart, sticko, love my tapes
just a card for a sweet friend who always sends me happy mail weekly! she sent these beautiful butterfly diecuts and demensional stickers. the teeny tiny butterflies made great centers for the flowers. supplies: marcella k, hero arts, making memories, love my tapes

well, i had a busy day. i even made time to do some gardening/weeding. the boys are napping and i am ready for a snack. something i wouldn't dare eat in front of the boys like cookies, chips and ice cream! since they're asleep---i won't have to share!

thanks for stopping by!

love my tapes

yay! today i am the first featured fan on the Love My Tapes blog!! i recently won some of their double sided adhesive on their blog and i tried it out immediately. LOVED the results! the above card, i used it to adhere everything (except that 'i love my teacher' sticker) including the ribbon. just a little strip is all i needed to hold the ribbon in place on the backside of the top note. (supplies: love my tapes, top note, DCWV, offray, american crafts, sakura, chipboard-unknown)this card above, all is adhered by the double sided adhesive including that handmade flower in the corner. a quickie on how to make that: punch out or cut a circle to your desired size. then i applied the double sided adhesive tape runner to cover the circle. cut out thin strips of paper and just fold and twist. lastly, start circling the twisted strip around the circle pressing down to the adhesive to form your flower. easy right? (supplies: love my tapes, recollections, K&Co., prima, CB, vintage trim, american crafts, brads, manilla tag, CB, crochet string, chipboard-unknown)

it also holds chipboard well. here is my ribbon flower stem. i just ran the tape runner down the rik rac. did it without stretching the ribbon. (supplies: love my tapes, CB, ric rak, studio 18, chipboard-unknown)

here is a repeat of this card that was in the previous post again. i wanted to mention that using the tape runner down the ribbon did not distort it at all. other adhesive tape runners that i've used in the past would always stretch out or warp the ribbon making it look crooked. glue dots are fast and easy but that would show through. (love my tapes, hero arts, imaginisce, american crafts, ribbon, chipboard-unknown)
thanks so much for looking today! be sure to check in on the Love My Tapes blog for more projects and products!
i am always looking for tried & true supplies.....what are your favorites? leave me a comment and i will randomly pick a winner by next wednesday [3/3], midnight to win an assortment of some crafty stash of mine. i have waaaay too much stuff and a lot of it hasn't seen the light of day since purchasing!

pink-brown-blue-green

i never really do any challenges. by the time i get to it or have a chance to finish it, the deadline is over. but, i did get to make this one. i love playing w/ these colors. and i am loving this stamp. so versatile. check the deets and the other wonderful entries here.
just playing with some new AC paper. i recently tried a new tape runner from love my tapes. it is great! try it out! it went on my flower ribbon stem without any stretching and no showing of a glue dot like i usually would use.
brandon started t-ball last week. we got uniforms this past weekend and it is 3x too big for him!!! looks cute though and looks like a big boy! his team is the phillies and despite it looking like orange, the color is red. (these 2 photos were taken with my iPhone) there are 12 players on the team and brandon knows 1/2 of them already so it'll be fun!
his 1st practice last week. the boys were all laughing at each other when they'd miss the ball catching or hitting it off the tee. little do they know, the are all on the same team!!!!
it'll be interesting to see what happens in their opening game this saturday! funny, the parents had to sign papers the 1st day and one of the things on the contract was to not yell at the opposing team's parents and players! are you kidding me? this is just t-ball for 5-6 year olds!! do some parents actually do this??

when i should be sleeping
