so that was friday. saturday, we decided to take a drive to big bear. although it wasn't snowing, it was fun for all of us. the boys don't get to see snow all but 1x a year! and does this even count? it was man-made snow blown out from a snow machine! LOL
this place was better than the place we went to last year. no scary chairlift!! plus i didn't have to hear whiney boys tell me they're tired from walking up snow hills! let me introduce---the "magic carpet". it's a moving escalator that takes to to the top of the hill! genius, right?
ok ok....brandon doesn't look that happy but daddy is!
bryan was happy. he's holding snow :)
ooops--picture is upside down! who has an iPhone 4s?? when my pictures from my phone are uploaded via iCloud, i cannot edit/rotate my photos. apparently, it's not compatible with windows. grrrrr. i managed to fandangle pictures from my phone by emailing them to myself and then editing them from there. does anyone have any other tips for me for editing iPhone 4 pics?
snowball fight!!
let me tell you having a good, inflated tube with no holes or rips makes for a smoother & faster ride down the hill! see how the blue one is 'puffier' than the yellow?

Brrrrrrr---Got Gloves?
isn't this beautiful! snow!
we took the boys to the snow to go tubing. it was mighty cold!!! 26*
here's bryan and eddie on the lift going up.
here's brandon. let me explain the bad pictures....i was not thrilled about having to ride the lift up to get to the top. i could tell brandon was scared. i couldn't show him that mommy was scared too! so i did what i could in my frozen hands to take his picture.
and this is what we did.
they're so cute in their puffy jackets! good thing we bought these before christmas for all the rain we've been having. they were still super cold! our huge mistake? not bringing gloves! didn't think to bring them---[as homer simpson would say...DOH!]
i wish we weren't such wimps and took the time to take more pictures. i was thinking this picture would be for our christmas card in december BUT, 50% of the family blinked. you win some, you lose some!

and look at brandon---he lost another tooth! BTW, does anyone want to help contribute to the "brandon will need braces fund'?
after this picture, it was back in line to catch the ski lift back down. joy......
at the end of theday, the boys were so cranky, cold and tired that they didn't want to walk back to the car. so we sat and waited for daddy to drive the car to us. i was holding bryan in my lap taking his picture. look at that frown!

sweet hearts
here are the sweethearts in my life.........
we got a chance to play in the snow this past saturday. the boys' 1st time!
they look a little cold don't they?!

i think brandon was ready to throw some snow at bryan's back

doing a snow angel

bryan fell on his butt and was trying to get his very-bundled-body up
brrrrrrrrrr
it wasn't snowing but brandon wanted to make it snow
bryan at his attempt at making a snow angel
game over....eddie decided to sprinkle some snow on bryan and as he ducked, it got all over his neckline and inside his clothes. he cried and said "go home". it was getting dark anyways!
working on some valentine's cards. decided to get a head start this year! sorry for the bad pics. the lighting was bad and i had to take pics throughout the day. we are potty training bryan and i needed to keep an eye on the situation. don't want any accidents. so in between being a servant to the 2 boys (i'm hungry, he took my toy, i want a snack, he took my toy, i need to go pee, he took my toy, i want something to drink, he took my toy, can i watch this dvd, he took my toy, can i open this toy, he took my toy, i want to go draw, he took my toy, i want to write, he took my toy), i was trying to have some craft time. it's going well after a rough 1st week. bryan is so stubborn. but we WILL be outta diapers before his 3rd birthday----jan 29th!!!

making lemonade outta lemons
i had a couple of errands to do.......1st stop, post office to mail out some packages. he was still crying when we went inside. a nice woman held the door open for us and let us go before her. the mail lady at the counter was very nice.... bryan stopped crying (thank god!). the other counter lady said that bryan was so cute with his watery red eyes & pout (not so much to me). i guess they felt for me.
next stop was michael's to pick up some stuff (don't tell hubby i went). he totally was okay now. he helped carry the hand basket & showed me this & that. at the register, he handed each item to the cashier and then ran to behind her counter & wanted to help.
next stop, HOME! but i did see the beautiful mountains covered with snow after 3 days of rain. ok, it may not seem beautiful to some of you where it snows a lot during the winter but to me, i think it's pretty (from afar!).
i decided to go to the farmers market they have by our house every tuesday before heading home. got zucchini, and a yummy smelling pomelo. we also stopped by the nearby library gounds where they have lemon trees. bryan picked up 1 or 2 off the floor. we took them home---is that stealing??? they already fell off the tree.
