tweetie pie

not liking this new format on blogger. i may revert to the old version in my next post. has anyone tried it out yet? any tips? driving me nuts that my words are all over the place.
 just a few quick cards.

brandon went on his 1st field trip a week ago to a farm. all the kids were so excited to ride the school bus!when he got let out that day, his teacher looked TIRED!! i can't imagine! bless all the teachers in the world!

brandon's teacher is the one in the red. the afternoon teacher is in the black. the valentine's i made for his classmates. very plain & not eloborate at all. inside the bag was a valentine decorated cookie and candy.
the kids all decorated these pink bakery boxes to put all their valentine goodies in. very cute!

s u c k e r

a little pre valentine's post of some projects. these were meant to have been in the mail but i still have them in my posession. they are addressed & ready to go but..........i was waiting for brandon to write his name in them.
his school valentine's which i made (another post, another time) were passed out to his friends today at his "loved ones" party. the catch on those were each child had to write his own name on them. ALL THIRTY THREE!!! took a time span of 3 days for brandon. a combination of him getting bored, the writing getting messier on each one and ADHD-ness. i'm glad they make the kiddos write their own valentine's. makes it more special.
so if you want, just go ahead and pick the one you like and consider it an e-bloggy vitual card from us!
these were fast and easy to make. cut out card, cut out background paper, cut out strips of paper & punch w/ a border punch, and the fun part--select the chipboard die cuts (from K&Company). easy peasy. a card for a friend. i know she got it already so i am posting it. recycled a coffee cup sleeve by stamping the 'friend to friend' sentiment on it.
card for a baby shower that we went to last weekend. side note: bryan threw up after jumping in the bounce house for a few minutes. luckliy, it was NOT in the bounce house. we decided we may have worn out our welcome after the barfing incident so we left. we heard that bryan started a chain reaction cause 2 other kids threw up--IN the bounce house!for brandon's teacher this year. he picked out a cheesy box of chocolates at the store for her. he couldn't wait to give it to her! so sweet!

bryan's 3rd birthday party

yep, we had a blues clues birthday party as requested by the birthday boy himself! we had it at the same place as last year but did things a little differently.have to please all the party goers by having 2 flavors of cupcakes! i DID not make these cupcakes but if you want to think that i did, that's fine! i only requested that the cupcake frosting be all blue. i did make the cupcake picks though!

this plain little cake naked (another request i made so i could decorated myself)

all i added were blues clues upcake rings and a #3 candle later w/ a little bit of confetti sprinkles

instead of messing with food, i did treat jars. filled were bryan's favorite treats: goldfish, dumdums, smarties, circus animal cookies, gummy lifesavers, and chex mix. i also had some kettle popcorn, baby carrots, cheese & crackers, chips and fruit. the big hit were those animal cookies! i made all the little tags to identify the yummies in the jars.a collage of the party (click on the pic to get a bigger view)[cup]cake time!!

sneaking some frostinggotta love that frosting evidence!the best i could do getting a pic of all the kiddos outsidedon't you just love little kids reactions during cake time?happy birthday bryan!! love your smile! love your laughs! love your personality! love that you talk so much! love that you are so sweet! LOVE THAT YOU ARE POTTY TRAINED!!!! love you brybry!!had a little time to make thisthanks for stopping by!

CHA 2010

i got to have a girl's day out on saturday! my day started off by picking up amy at the airport. i have never met her til that day but "know" her through blogging. she's sweet as cupcakes!we got right to it and did a make-and-take.
look at all these yummy colors!
this display below reminded me of the fighting beta fish at the pet store that they'd store in cups.
couldn't NOT take a pic of some cute owls!
look at that ginormous cute spool wrapped with some yarn!
look at who i met. cath edvalson and susan opel. they were so friendly & nice.
cupcakes made from ribbons
i loooove this display of balloons put out over by SCS. incidently, i won a tee shirt from a raffle of theirs...........in 2x! they only had VERY large sizes left by the time my name got picked from the bowl. i just missed some copic markers by half a dozen peeps. [if you have to ask what copics are, you don't need to know what they are]cute cardscheck out these 2 guys..... they were in charge of this make-and-take. they were as nice as can be and very funny!
there were a lot more men at this show than i would have guessed.
i got to meet the very talented mou saha. she creates the most amazing LOs. she has a lot of her projects featured in the magazine creating keepsakes. i admire her work.
and i dunno why i am standing with such bad posture in all these pics. maybe it was all the walking around and standing. what is better than a button tree? two of them.....MORE buttonsjust took this pic cause i see an ink color in my namei had a fun time! thanks to amy for my ah-mazing card and goodies from her! will have to take a pic but i know i might not even ever get to it. it was funny as we were looking at each other's stash of goodies, we gave each other the SAME owlie dish towel.
we ended the day with a nice dinner chatting, sharing our "jerry springer" stories and resting our tired legs. thanks amy for a fun day!!
