preschool pumpkin pie party

on wednesday, brandon's preschool class had a pumpkin pie party for all the parents. the class made the pies the day before. i was kind of scared to eat it but it looked alright & tasted ok. i am not a fan of pumpkin pie but i wanted to try it.

sad---- so of his classmates did not have a parent come to the party. one boy sitting next to brandon kept asking the teacher 'where is my mommy'. **sniff sniff**. brandon might've been one of those kids asking that very same question if i wasn't lucky enough to have gotten an extended lunch ok'd by my boss (thanks jessica :-).

of course my son was too busy playing to tell the teacher what he was thankful for so he isn't on this list but some of what the kids said is funny.

karaoke time! those of you who have met brandon know that he is NOT shy at all.

we saw santa on a break at hot dog on a stick (in carlsbad). brandon was so interested that santa went in for a bite to eat.

we decided to bake some cupcakes one day at home. it was one of those days where i ran outta things for the kids to do when eddie was at work. so i braved making a dozen with the boys. and yes, i let brandon hold the ELECTRIC mixer per his request (aka begging me).

ok, so everyone always thinks our kids always laugh & smile. here is proof that they do not. here's bryan having his fits when he doesn't get his way.

my best friend from SF came for a short visit in my neck of the woods & we got to spend a few hours together. we had dim sum & then we took them to sprinkles cupcakes to send them back home with a few yummy goodies!

*****an update on brandon...... he has been acting better and realizes when he gets too rough & outta control. he hasn't been whining about the things we took away from him but then again----it's only been 2 days since the "incident".

it was just a matter of time

yes, this is what i feared from day 1 of brandon starting pre-k. when i went to pick up brandon from school today, i was stopped by ms. genevieve. she started out by telling me that there was an incident that involed brandon today. hmmm, what could it be?? *gulp* 'oh, what happened?' i asked. she told me brandon & a bunch of boys were pretend playing that they were power rangers. things got a little outta hand and brandon apparently had contact w/ another boy. she didn't say who it was...only that that person was ok & not hurt. (hallelujah!) ms. genevieve said that she is talking to all the boys' parents when they get picked up today to tell them that they need to not get carried away at playtime.

brandon's punishment is no more jetix for a while. that is a channel he got to watch before that had power rangers, spider man, digimon etc.... on. he also cannot play w/ any power ranger toys during the week. he has to earn good behavior points to get to play them too.

it was just a matter of time.............................and that time was today.

not for lunch

i had time to do a project. the project usually ends up taking a couple of days since i work and have the 2 boys who love to get into everything i am doing. it's an altered flip top lunch tin. i will be putting card sets i make in there for christmas gifts this year for a few friends.

look who was watching me at the window as i was taking my tin project pics outside (natural light is better)---bryan! he was looking at me like 'please take me outside too'!

he's like, 'i'll give you a smooch if you take me out'!

brandon caught on to where i was too & pretended i was a monster outside and did his superhero pose on me.

look at what i won on a blog last week for just commenting on a blog entry............ super cute set! can't wait to use! and she even included a card. sweet blog candy.

halloween pics

here are some pictures from halloween night. i put bryan in the stroller (no use chasing him all night) and brandon walked. not as many homes gving out candy this year--recession??!! bryan was especially quiet 1/2 hr into trick or treating in the stroller so i checked on him. sneaky little boy had ripped opened a piece of chocolate and was sucking on it. no wonder he was content! i asked brandon if he would give some candy to his little brother since i didn't roll the stroller up to people's doorsteps. brandon's reply: "no, mine! i'm doing all the work!" little does he know, i brought a bulk of the candy to work already!

every year, we take a drive to mima's house after trick or treating. she wanted to see them in their ranger costumes. i can let you guess who diana & karen are dressed as. but if anyone can correctly guess who andrew is dressed as, i will send YOU a little prize! (how does he come up with these things?!) mima, like evey year, gives us each a healthy treat--an apple!! yum! and yes.........brandon did put 2 apples where boobies would be...........where does he learn these things??!!

here is another card set i made using 1 image (changito thank u) and 2 pieces of card stock--1 solid and 1 printed. makes for a fast set. i just varied where i place the ribbon & the layout.
