hello cupcake

hello! i am back with some more cupcake cards! so craving some chocolate marshmallow ones from sprinkles!!

the tops are cut opened just for a little variety. change it up a lil', KWIM??!! inside says 'hello cupcake'. can be used for valentines or just a friendly friend card.

this is a new hero arts cupcake stamp. i love the size of it! thanks to my friend, leesa, for sending it to me all the way from GA!when my mom was here over the christmas holiday, i asked her to rethread my sewing machine. it was sewing fine on top but the bottom stitching was ugly---obviously, it was threaded wrong by me not knowing how to follow the diagram directions. i would also be the same person who does not know how to read a map. anyways, my mom threaded it correctly for me and here is my 1st card using it. my mom asked me what i was going to sew and i told her cards and she just laughed.
can any paper-sewers give me tips on how to finish off the thread?? i DID mean for the stitching to be crooked but not for them to be sticking out.
BTW, potty training with bryan is going extremely well. we will definitely make the he-WILL-be-potty trained-by-his-3rd birthday deadline! [and yes, bryan is holding a motorola phone. my kiddos gets to play w/ all our old cell phones]

Super sweet card! And you made it really come to life, it just looks sooo chocolately! My kind of food! I'm amazed at Bryan's progress! Consider yourself done! Life is good, eh? ;) That's what I would always hear from other mommies, same, exact 3 words as soon as potty training is completed..lol!

Love those cards, I have yet to make a cupcake card, but they look so cute. Good Luck with the potty training. Jack potty's every time - no accidents, but he has yet to poop.

LOVE your cuppie!! Gorgeous colors--so yummy! Can your mom come and help me with my bobbins? Something is definitely wrong.....I believe you pull the ends (make 'em long) to the back, tape them down and trim.

And yay for Bryan! Having two girls, potty training boys must be a whole different view, literally!

Love the cupcakes Ivy!

I usually pull both ends of the thread to the back of the card, tape or a dab of clear glue to keep in in place.

Hooray for potty training Bryan! You'll save lots of $ w/o having to spend it on diapers and more $ for stamps! Heehee!

So cute, Ivy!! Love the cupcake cards, but you know I'd be partial to them anyway! :) As for stitching, I sew on paper the same way I do on fabric, I backstitch a bit at the end to "knot" it, and try not to make it too noticeable - still practicing the stitching on paper technique, but it's fun! Aaaand... when my Mom was here over Christmas, she didn't have to rethread my machine or bobbins, but she DID have to teach me how to MAKE a bobbin!! :) Now I'm set!
Congrats to Bryan! Way to go, big guy! Now, if we could get Emily trained (again) by her 5th birthday (next week) we could start working on Bradley! Sigh.. my daughter.. what WILL I do with her?? Or without her?
Take care, sweet Ivy!
