love my tapes

yay! today i am the first featured fan on the Love My Tapes blog!! i recently won some of their double sided adhesive on their blog and i tried it out immediately. LOVED the results! the above card, i used it to adhere everything (except that 'i love my teacher' sticker) including the ribbon. just a little strip is all i needed to hold the ribbon in place on the backside of the top note. (supplies: love my tapes, top note, DCWV, offray, american crafts, sakura, chipboard-unknown)this card above, all is adhered by the double sided adhesive including that handmade flower in the corner. a quickie on how to make that: punch out or cut a circle to your desired size. then i applied the double sided adhesive tape runner to cover the circle. cut out thin strips of paper and just fold and twist. lastly, start circling the twisted strip around the circle pressing down to the adhesive to form your flower. easy right? (supplies: love my tapes, recollections, K&Co., prima, CB, vintage trim, american crafts, brads, manilla tag, CB, crochet string, chipboard-unknown)

it also holds chipboard well. here is my ribbon flower stem. i just ran the tape runner down the rik rac. did it without stretching the ribbon. (supplies: love my tapes, CB, ric rak, studio 18, chipboard-unknown)

here is a repeat of this card that was in the previous post again. i wanted to mention that using the tape runner down the ribbon did not distort it at all. other adhesive tape runners that i've used in the past would always stretch out or warp the ribbon making it look crooked. glue dots are fast and easy but that would show through. (love my tapes, hero arts, imaginisce, american crafts, ribbon, chipboard-unknown)
thanks so much for looking today! be sure to check in on the Love My Tapes blog for more projects and products!
i am always looking for tried & true supplies.....what are your favorites? leave me a comment and i will randomly pick a winner by next wednesday [3/3], midnight to win an assortment of some crafty stash of mine. i have waaaay too much stuff and a lot of it hasn't seen the light of day since purchasing!

You are the perfect spokeperson for this lovely tape product! I wish I could easily buy something like that here. I must look harder for it! My favorite product as of now is the Glossy Accent by Ranger. I pretty much use it on everything that I can get my hands on :) except ..I haven't put them on my family!

Virginis'a comment made me laugh - I also love glossy accents and have had to restrain myself from glossing my cat :)
But my favourite products at the moment are my nesties - Labels 1 and Labels 8 and I just got the blossoms set too. LOVE them.
Congrats on your feature Ivy - love all 4 of your pretty pretty cards.

I love their tiny tips for more precise placement and SO much pizzazz!! I also have to say that I LOVE my cuttle bug. ::sigh:: there is rarely a crafty day that goes by that I don't reach for a folder or a nestie.

Adhesive products are very important. I love that you are sharing this information. I would have to say that my favorite products right now are: All the detail embossing powders, any Nestabilities and the new favorite stamp from Hero Arts, CL377, Be Happy!

Love your cards! I am going to have to look for some of that tape - I'm always looking for a good adhesive besides my ATG tape and judging by what you have to say about it, this just might be it. One of my favorite things to use are punches. Lately I have become a fan of the Martha Stewart border and Punch Around the Page punches. So many cute designs and a good use of my Michael's 40% off coupons!

Wow, tried and true products, where to begin: adtech runner, cuttlebug, nesties, embossing folders, stickles, copics, sheer ribbon, Martha Stewart border punches, cropadile. ok I have said way too much. LOL Oh yeah and the blank cards in the dollar bin at Target they always have some cute pattern on the front then I dress it up with embellies and a stamped image for a quick card - could not live without those. haha

Stickles are by far my fave product, but I'm also loving the new spritz by Smooch. The paint I'm not a big fan of, but the spray is cool!

I'm always on the lookout for good adhesive and actually anything crafty:)

My first thought was Glossy Accents for one of my favorite crafty items - love it as adhesive - boy it sticks... and how neat it is as an accent. Now I'm thinking of what's in my plastic drawers and those Distressed inks - couldn't do without em.

Congratulations to you! Love these fun cards. I've been looking for adhesive that works easily for ribbon, so I think I need to try this tape. . . I think my favorite craft supply at the moment is the DCWV Mariposa stack that I just got for Valentine's Day, lots of pretty butterfly images and rich colors. This is my first time visiting your blog; it is so cute.
