so that night, he popped himself up from bed, screaming! he got up & told us he doesn't want anyone to touch or hold him. he seemed to be alert but 'not'. he was also running away from us! scary in the middle of the night. he finally calmed down after about 15 minutes.
it looked like he was trying to throw up but was afraid to. we thought that's why he told us his tummy hurts and was holding his mouth closed AND running away from us.
repeat this for saturday, sunday, and monday. all the same but getting increasingly violent with each episode but the duration is shortening. he would bang on the walls, hit anything he came near to and told us to 'don't touch me', 'go away', 'i don't want you'......all while screaming from the top of his lungs. we were afraid someone might call the cops on us!
when this happens, he is not the sweet little bry bry we all know. he seems as if he's possessed! an out of body experience. like sleepwalking. when he snaps out of it, he has no idea what just happened and comes to snuggle with us. it toally wipes him out---he's so tired the next day. we are too!
after talking to several moms about this, i came to the conclusion that it is night terrors he is going through. not sure when it will end [soon i hope]. but very interesting if you want to read about it.
if your little one has experienced this, please let me know. what you think might have cause it, how did it go away, if anything help stop it.

Poor little guy......so scary for all of you! I've never heard of anything like this, sure do hope it passes soon.
Yours cards are so cute, Ivy, wish I could take your class!
Super cute cards, they will make for a great display at the store! Here's hoping the night terrors subside soon! Interesting link to that article. will keep it as a reference!
Hi Ivy! I am so sorry your little guy has been having night terrors! I really hope it goes away soon! :> I love your card samples and am quite excited for your first class!
Oh my... what an ordeal you guys are going through, poor little thing and poor mommy and daddy too! I hope it's totally behind you now, sending big hugs to all of you!!
Hi Ivy,
Your poor dear. Kalino hasn't had night terrors, but I remember my niece having them; the blank look and knowing that she wasn't awake and her being inconsolable. Kalino has had very minor episodes of what I call "sleep kneeling". We'll find him kneeling on his bed. He seems awake, but has the blank look. The next morning he doesn't remember the episode. Parenting is hard. I hope the episodes go away very soon.
One last thing, my niece would have night terrors when she was overly tired. I noticed Dr. Sears mentions that too.
Good luck with your class. The samples are fun!
oh my gosh ivy so sorry about your lil guy. I hope hes feeling better!
I love your cards, so cute! The lawnfawn stamps worked great with your projects.
