under the weather

a quick post. i am under the weather---again! cannot shake this sickness off. i was sick for 2 months back in nov-dec. then, again now. full blown. awesome. just awesome.these are more altered calendars. i finally made one for myself. the one below is for a friend.

a few cards i made AND actually got in the mail to friends in time for valentines. these images are so sweet. love old valentines! you can find them here & download for free. i just printed them, cut them out and used some distressed inks. add a doily, a button and lace.

hi, i'm bryan and i'm 4

sharing a few photos from bryan's birthday 'party'. i feel a little guilty not throwing a party for him this year but i wanted to keep it simple. we invited a family to join us at farrell's. and of course, his birthday was made more special by my sister, BIL and baby jadeyn driving from SF to celebrate with us!brandon went to preschool with peyton (far right). and that's her brother jax. they also have a little brother.

i do think the kids had fun!my sister.....bryan adores her :)

we did NOT order this!! just had to show you. the top is a sparkler that they light up! any guesses as to how many scoops there are in this??

my BIL and cutie jadeyn!bryan crawled behind this 'holder'. holder for what you ask? that ginormous bowl of ice cream that had that sparkler. see that hole? that's where the bowl sits and 4 waiters hoist it up on their shoulders and carry it to the table.

february blue bird

a quick hello today. had a little time to play.

happy birthday bryan

today is bryan's 4th birthday! cannot believe how fast he's growing.i see everyday how he's growing taller and getting more & more independant. he also has a smart mouth and knows how to back talk already .

apparantly, he wasn't tall enough to go on the ride above even though he is 4! [pictures from recent legoland trip]

he was so sad he didn't reach the required height limit, he cried when he was told he couldn't go on the ride by the operator. he watched through the bars when dad & brandon went on it. such a sad sight to see......

BUT, we did find another ride that he met the height requirement. all smiles again!

we've had beautiful, sunny and hot weather in january. we also had a lot of rain this winter so it's strange to have both ends of the weather.

happy birthday bryan!!!

my sister, BIL and baby jadeyn drove all the way to come spend bryan's birthday with us. i'm so happy to see them! and jadeyn looks so different from december when we saw her last. we decided not to have a big party for bryan. actually, i decided not to. just figured all of the kids we invite are all of brandon's friends & their siblings. instead, we're keeping it small and having my sister, BIL & jadeyn and one other family for lunch and dessert at an ice cream parlour. should be super fun!

i am posting this altered pocket calendar that i made for my sister now that she's seen it. the flower is made from a fabric strip.

time flies

don't adjust your computers....i was playing around with different effects while editing these photos.
we had nice weather this past week and i mean NICE! took brybry to the kiddie pool tuesday to enjoy the 80*+ weather!these next 2 pictures were taken in the kiddie pool. looks like he's on the beach, doesn't it?

look at my little hugh hefner! i cannot believe how fast he's growing and the stuff he's learning and doing! he will be 4 in seven days!!! i'm not ready for him to turn 4!! can anyone out there stop time for just a bit longer?!

card sets

hello--again! told you i post sporatically! this is my 2nd post of the day so don't forget to check the post below!

i always admire my bloggie friend, anita's card sets that she makes and always looking for new ideas for teacher gifts and such. we decided that once a month (around the middle of the month), we'd challenge ourselves to make some sets and post. then we'd have enough to give as presents to the teachers when the time came & we wouldn't have to crank them out last minute.here is a set all packaged, ready for gift giving. very clean and simple. a set of 6 cards for everyday use.i have to admit that i made these back in december but i never posted the individual cards. i have a set done but haven't taken pics of them.
