here they are 'becoming junior rangers'----again. they answer some questions about the park and turn it in to the ranger and raise their right hand & recite a pledge. then they get a junior ranger badge. we've done this before but it's still fun for the boys!
it was a gorgeous day with lots of sailboats out.

we saw lots of little lizards. see all those rocks? apparently, they're pretty sharp! you'll read about that a little later in this post.

1.2 miles x 2= a fun hike UNTIL.............
bryan did a face plant. he was running up the trail and i told him stop it before he falls down. besides, the trail is alongside steep cliffs. but no....he kept on running. he fell down, face first and cut up his arm on some of those sharp rocks. [i told you so] he cried. and cried. such drama---he asked if he was going to die. when will the boys listen?????????????????????
after cleaning up bryan's arm and a trip to the pharmacy, we went out for a nice dinner. we got a table outside and enjoyed the view and some ocean air.
we even saw a pirate ship!
walked around after dinner and saw this. any little girl would've loved seeing this. my boys--- not so much.
2 cards to share today. the kraft is the negative die part that usually gets thrown away. but i like to try to use up my scraps.
repetitive stamping and a bit of glossy accents.

Love your post title..! Having raised two girls, I can't ever remember uttering those words. MY POOR BRYBRY! So glad it wasn't worse than a few scratches...another souvenir from a fun family outing!

They are boys, Ivy, it's in their DNA to learn in the school of hard knocks. I'd like to say that Bryan will remember next time, but they also have short memories....boys, gotta love 'em!

Those little guys are so adorable I could kiss their cheeks and hug them real tight. Such little sweethearts. I really miss my guy being this age. They looked so sweet in these pics. They looked so like they were making a pledge to be rangers. Lol. So cute. Sorry the wee one got hurt, looks like he toughed it out though. Such a big little man! You go Bryan!
